Chef Foo Yung

What's up ya'll! My name is Thaddeus Rideau, also known as Chef FooYung. Growing up between family in Opelousas, LA  and Orlando, FL, my passion for cooking was ignited by watching family members work their magic in the kitchen. It wasn't long before I found myself drawn to cooking classes in high school, where I discovered my love for the culinary arts.

My journey took me to the United States Army, where I honed my skills as a cook, feeding hundreds of soldiers every day. It was at Ft. Drum, NY, that I truly found my calling in fine dining. From hosting General Banquets to competing in the American Culinary Federation, I immersed myself in the world of gourmet cuisine.

In 2015, I made waves as the Executive Chef at the first-ever Gourmet Night, earning recognition in a news article. But my love for cooking goes beyond accolades – it's about bringing people together with soulful, heartfelt dishes. For me, cooking is an art form that speaks volumes through every bite.

Now, as a Private Chef and Caterer, I'm thrilled to share my passion with you.
